Jaeger Machine Business of Canada Restricted, St. Thomas- Machines to Nepal, 1958
Title: These six air compressors, manufactured by the Jaeger Machine Organization of Canada Ltd., in St. Thomas, had been on their way to Nepal in December 1958. The machines have been bought by the General Solutions Administration of the United States and have been to be utilised for air hammers on construction projects in Nepal. The order for the compressors, valued at about ,000, was offered to the Jaeger Co. as the outcome of competitive bidding on the contract by manufacturers in Canada and the U.S.A. Prior to this order, equivalent machines had been shipped to Turkey, Saigon, Vietnam and the Philippines. Here, checking the shipment as it is about to be packed is Hubert Frank, fitter, left, and John Shaw, visitors manager.
