Soldier Manning .50 Cal Heavy Machine Gun on Patrol in Gereshk, Afghanistan

A soldier from D Squadron the Household Calvary Regiment (HCR) is pictured manning a .50cal Heavy Machine Gun on a Jackal 2 All Terrain Vehicle (ATV). This was during a patrol based at the Kandak in the middle of Gereshk in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
The HCR are operating the Jackal and Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked) (CVR(T)) including both Scimitar and Spartan.
