Query by Andy: Where can I get educated in custom metal fabrication and welding?
I want to get metalworking and welding certifications so I can chop vehicles and fabricate components. I know a lot of men and women will suggest tech schools like UTI or Wyotech, but I genuinely feel like that will not get me the high level abilities I want to perform to attain. I am considering the sheet metal workers union training facility here in Chicago, but I’m not really positive thats the right direction either. I’d like to keep local, but I’ll take any ideas of course.

You’ve got to start someplace to find out the simple capabilities. You have to ask your self if an individual who does what ever custom perform you’re dreaming of would take on an apprentice who knows practically nothing about how to use a brake press or how to use a MIG welder?
Appear at the regional VoTechs & see how you can get enrolled. Then learn how to do it, make a connection with the guy or gal teaching you, and see how a lot practice time you can speak you way into & tips you can get on improving your strategies.
